HEALTHY HOME-MADE JAM
Speaking of breakfast each one of us love fruits. Slicing them in a cereal bowl, blending them in smoothies or topping your go to toast.
Jam guarantees we have some thing on hand. My jam journey begins with Raspberry and kiwi jam. They are vibrant, full of flavors and have natural pectin. For jam the selection of fruits is very important. Pick the ones that are not overly ripe. Old fruits have less pectin and you will end up with something runny. You can control the ingredients as this recipe can be easily made with fruits of your choice so get whats in the season and give this healthy easy jam a try with no HIGH SUGAR CONTENT.
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1 Tbsp spoon chia seeds
- 1 Tbsp jaggery
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp spoon orange juice
- 1 Tbsp spoon honey
- 5 kiwis mashed
- 1 Tbsp Chia seeds
- 1 Tbsp jaggery
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp orange juice
- 1 Tbsp honey

Pickles are staple in a desi house hold store-bought or home-made it is the prefect accompaniment to our meals. They come in all flavors, textures and consistencies.Back home we have unlimited variety of pickles/achar. Every month once grocery was done a big batch of pickles was made with seasonal vegetables. This particular one there is made with red vibrant carrots. When I moved here to North America, like many others, I was so hesitant to make home-made pickles. It was not the question of time energy and effort that one have to put but the rules of oil ,moisture levels and the amount of sunlight it requires.
